Taking the Long View first makes the reader feel comfortable by seeing there are other’s out there just like them. This can give them the confidence to avoid major downfalls all together or help them change the toxic path they are already on. Then, it guides them through possible solutions to make good choices for their future while encouraging them to enjoy the places they are at and find their purpose.
Lastly, it will show them that no matter where they are, they can improve their situation and/or make it even better than they imagined.
Taking the Long view will take the reader along with me in my journey, while they are taking theirs through the steps to help them avoid possible pitfalls to become the best version of themselves.

“This is a great read by an even greater woman. The story inspired me to think about my own life experiences, but also those of all women in my life. Women and men of all ages can learn from the authors brave and thoughtful reflections. Thank you for sharing your story.” – Tracey
“Today’s young women can flounder in a world of ambiguity. Not knowing who they are, and who they want to become. Rebecca shares her experience, vulnerability and journey to help young women find direction, self-confidence and stability in a world of uncertainty. As a retired principal I wish this book had been available for me to give to young women who felt burdened to conform to a cultural that steals their self-worth. This book is an excellent tool for counselors, schools and youth leaders. I have bought and shared multiple copies and will continue to share this book so young women can find hope and encouragement.” – Doris
